BREAKING: Nigerian Music Industry lost a rapper, Oladips
NIGERIA, Nov. 15 – Nigerian rapper, Oladipupo Oladimeji, popularly known as Oladips is dead. This is another sad day for the Nigeria Entertainment industry says music lovers.
The sad and sudden news of his demise was announced on his official Instagram handle on Wednesday.
According to the post, the death occurred last night (Tuesday) at 10:14 pm.
The Ipost reads: “We are saddened to inform the general public that Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji aka OLADIPS passed away yesterday Nov 14th Tuesday evening, at exactly 10:14 pm. We are still in shock as we speak!
“For over 2 years he has kept his battles within himself, his body is now with his family.
“The family asked that we respect their privacy in this trying time. May God give us all the fortitude to bear this great loss. (amen).”
The statement added that his funeral services will be announced as soon as it is concluded, the statement added.
This shocking news coming barely three months after the death of Oladimeji Aloba popularly known as Mohbad.
Nigerian musician, Blaqbonez while commenting on his death, said “He was supposed to drop an album tomorrow and it’ll reach number 1 but he won’t be here to see it”
He express sadness over the death of his colleague noting that they were expecting his realease Only today to be hit by the unfortunate news
Blaqbonez who has been hit by the demise took to his X (formerly Twitter ) account to narrate how the late musician was set to release an album.
He said, although, the album will still be released, many people would stream it and take it to number 1 but unfortunately Oladips will not be here to see it.
In his words;
“someone that was supposed to drop an album tomorrow, now it’d go number 1 and once again the artist won’t get to see it, stupid life”
Many Netizens have agreed with him as the same thing occurred after Mohbad died, with his song rising to number one on music charts.
